It’s time for another English K-Beauty review, and this time I’m extra excited about the product I’m about to introduce to you guys: The Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask is an overnight mask that was created as a companion piece to the ever so popular Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Drop serum. Did it win my heart? Continue reading to find out!
I have a deep and ongoing love affair with the Klairs Vitamin C Drop serum and wrote a pretty shamelessly raving review about it (in German) a while ago. Thus, I was extra excited when Wishtrend announced the launch of yet another “freshly juiced” Klairs skincare item. My excitement peaked when I got offered the chance to test this mask before its official launch!º The Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask is primarily meant to be an overnight mask treatment that features mouth-wateringly appealing ingredients such as radiance-boosting niacinamide, sun damage eliminating Vitamin E (duh!), and wrinkle-smoothing adenosine.
I received the Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask about two weeks ago, which gave me ample time to play with it – and indeed, there is a very playful element involved regarding the texture of this mask. But, first things first: let’s have a thorough look at the product details and my experiences with the Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask…
Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask – the Basics
The Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask is an overnight mask meant to be used after the Klairs Vitamin C Drop serum, but it can also be used in a multitude of other ways (more on that later!). The mask comes in a 90ml plastic jar, with a little spatula enclosed so that you do not have to contaminate the product with possible bacteria when dipping your fingers into it. The packaging is definitely reminiscent of the Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Drop serum,* since it features the same white and silver packaging with that funky (and hard to photograph, eek!) holographic print on the label.
Probably the coolest and most unique thing about the Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask is its texture – I must admit, it startled me a bit at first! It’s a snow white, gelatinous gel with a noticeable bounce to it.
What makes the texture of the Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask so weird and wonderful is the fact that when you take out a bit of product and thus “disturb” the surface, it will smooth itself out automatically. I discovered this when I accidentally left my little spatula slightly dipped into the product for a minute and had to rescue it from drowning in the now smoothed out mask! It’s a pretty interesting effect that I get a kick out of every time I use the Klairs Vitamin E Mask.
The list of ingredients for the Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask reads rather excitingly, with lots of skin goodies hidden in that transparent jar of snow white gorgeousness:
The primary ingredient of this gel mask is of course “tocopheryl acetate”, a Vitamin E acetate that is considered more stable than pure vitamin E. As I mentioned previously, vitamin E is a wonderful skincare ingredient with strong antioxidant properties, known to fight free radicals which are a primary cause for the premature ageing of the skin. Vitamin E can enhance the strength of your sunscreen and has some mild SPF properties of its own, while also working actively against sun damage. If you are sensitive to strong skincare ingredients you might want to carefully patch test this mask, since tocopheryl acetate in high dosages can potentially cause rashes and allergies (it didn’t for me, but everyone is different).
The other star ingredient on this list is niacinamide: if you haven’t heard of this long-time darling of the K-Beauty community, you absolutely need to read up on it because this vitamin B3 component has a whole list of proven benefits for the skin. Niacinamide can boost radiance, help lighten hyperpigmentation, possibly fight wrinkles, and even assist in regulating excess sebum. Not bad, aye?
Next up on the list of ingredient superstars is adenosine! I watched an Instagram live broadcast 2 days ago where Eunice from Wishtrend TV introduced the Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask. She explained that the amount of adenosine in this mask is the highest amount allowed/accepted, so they really tried to pack in as much as they could. What makes adenosine so exciting for skincare products are its anti-aging benefits, in particular its smoothing effect on wrinkles. The same can be said for arginine, another wrinkle-fighting goody on the ingredient list!
Potential problems for people with sensitive skin could arise from the added essential oils of lavender, eucalyptus, citrus and orange, so make sure to check if you tend to react negatively to these natural ingredients. The Klairs Vitamin E Mask is free from parabenes and alcohol, which I know is important to many of you.
Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask – How to Use and Results
I started using the Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask pretty much straight away, and it really only took a short amount of time to see the first results. The primary way to use this is, of course, as an overnight treatment and the last step in your PM skincare routine. I usually scoop out a small amount of the jell-o like substance and let it melt in the palm of my hand.
In the picture below you can see that it instantly melts into a liquid, serum-like texture when it comes in contact with the skin, and it is very easily and readily absorbed. I was pretty amazed, in fact, by how quickly and fully it sinks into the skin. Overnight masks have a tendency to be quite sticky, and they often contain rather heavy ingredients such as mineral oil that make them sit on the skin. The Klairs mask feel very lightweight, non-greasy and leaves no residue on the skin at all!
So, did the mask have any effect on my skin? Um…heck yeah! In fact, I feel almost nervous writing about this because I am so fricken amazed at how effective this product is and might sound too hyperbolic – it may feel like I’m exaggerating, but it really only took one use and my skin felt brighter, more even-textured and looked more plumped up the next morning. And I didn’t have any problems with breakouts or sensitivities, my skin is just super happy with the formula and feel of the Klairs mask.
The lightness of this vitamin E mask was perfect for my oily combination skin, but I must say that it may not be enough if you have dry or very dry skin – the moisturising benefits of this treatment are not quite as intense as the ones you get from heavier sleeping masks. If you have dry skin I would advise you to layer the Klairs Freshly Juiced Mask on top of a moisturiser such as the Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Cream.* Eunice also said that you can mix the Vitamin E Mask with a moisturiser and even wear it during the daytime, but I haven’t tried this combination myself. What I have tried, and loved, is using the Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask as a daytime moisturiser on top of a moisturising serum – this works so well for my skin type, and I felt that it really helped keep excess sebum in check.
I also have a very special secret tip for you: try using this product as a makeup primer! The idea to do this came to me when I noticed how the Vitamin E Mask creates a really smooth and noticeably even surface on my skin. It’s as if that “magical” surface-smoothing property the gel has also works on the skin!
I often have problems with foundations and BB creams not properly “sticking” to my face, since I suffer from enlarged pores and an uneven skin texture. The Klairs Freshly Juiced Mask not only manages to smooth out the unevenness, it also seems to help make the foundations adhere to the skin better. This is especially helpful if you, like me, constantly have problems with annoying counter-reactions between sunscreens and foundations. Just layer the Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask on top of your sunscreen and then apply your foundation – it works like a charm!
Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask – the Bottom Line
I mean, what can I say? I absolutely love this product! Really, there is basically only one thing that I wasn’t a fan of when it comes to the Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask, and that is its strong and, to me, a bit weird scent of lavender and citrus – it smells a bit too “old lady” for me, personally.
Apart from that, however, I am just amazed at how effectively this mask works in brightening and plumping up my skin. I use this pretty much every day now, both as an overnight mask as well as oftentimes even during the daytime, either as a moisturiser or a makeup primer.
If you have dull, tired-looking skin that tends to be oily you will probably love this as much as I do. For those of you with dry or very dry skin this may not be rich enough as a standalone moisturiser, and I would advice you to add it on top of stronger moisturisers of your choice. But even dry skin types should love the effects of both the vitamin E and the niacinamide in particular – anyone who wants to fight the first signs of ageing and sun damage will benefit from this mask.
The Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask has just launched today on Wishtrend, and there are a couple of awesome offers and package deals to grab until the 28th of September! The standalone Vitamin E mask* retails at 27$, but is currently on offer with a 20% discount, which comes to 21.60$ for a jar that will probably last you a long while. You can also buy the Vitamin E Mask together with the Vitamin C Drop serum,* in a package deal that will save you 30% (the price is 35$ instead of 50$). Or you can get a full routine centred around the Vitamin E Mask: the Freshly Juiced Brightening Package* contains the Klairs mask, the vitamin C serum, my beloved Klairs toner, the Klairs Foaming Cleanser, and the Klairs Black Sugar Polish, for a price of 73.01$ instead of 111.98$.
Personally, I am very much in love with the Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask and will most definitely continue to use it. In truth, I have yet to find a Klairs product that I haven’t fallen in love with – I don’t know how they do it, but their stuff is just always on point!
Have you used any Klairs products yet? Which one is your favourite?
Take care guys!

I really love the this overnight mask as well for the same reason- it brightens so amazingly well. Now I definitely have to try it out as a primer since I have oily skin myself 🙂
I REALLY love it as a primer!
